Another week - a hard one!

The kids are all homesick. They arrived at Downlands a bit late, had a Homeweekend the next week, and have now completed a full week. It is hard to be away from home, and they are feeling it! Parents: please keep encouraging the kids. They need your help!!

I am telling them that they have been sent down for Schooling: so they can get good training, be away from trouble, and help the community to grow strong! I brought food and drink up and we had a good talk. I admired these kids greaty for their character in hanging in.

They will have an extra long, four day home week-end for Easter. We will get to an AFL game, and go down to the Gold Coast to see the two Puruntatameri girls who are at PLC Armidale (

The School staff are doing all they can to make the kids happy. Jessiah is big time in Basketball and the others promise to start playing this week. It helps to play sport, you meet the other kids, and because of the way Tiwi play, they will be especially valued.
