Commencing 2008

The full compliment of kids have now arrived. We will have six at Downlands for this term.

This year we have been able to get flights out of Darwin leaving at midday rather than midnight. They arrived in the late afternoon were picked up and whisked straight to Toowoomba.

We are paying $70 extra per kid but it is worthwhile as all-night travel is too exhausting.

It is a great idea to have younger kids aged thirteen - they have managed the first week well.

They come back to our place in Brisbane this weekend.
We will get to St Vincent de Paul store on Saturday morning so they have all the clothes they need to brave Toowoomba weather.

Eusebia and Noel did a wonderful job as usual. Fr John Mulrooney and Jim Deveraux from Vinnies Kenmore are coming up with Wendy to visit the community later this term. They want assurance that we are doing all that we can to make the project successful.
