Mid Term Break
Too cold in the morning, too hot at the Gabba. It was good to get a shot of real football again - made us feel normal.
Of course the players all wanted to have their photo taken with us, but we kept it to one. Lucky him!!
Therese did a wonderful job in the Ballet, danced beautifully. But then, after the space ship landed and the little green men talked with Josita, she changed a bit and was shooting everyone with a ray gun. But this changed when she heard she was going to get the Gabba for football
Time away from Downlands. Daniel and Phil picked us up at mid-day friday, and off we went, via McDonalds back to Kenmore Hills to watch Foxtel through Friday night. Daniel is Phil's friend and neighbour and we drove back to Brisbane in his flash car.
Downlands has big trees, lots of tennis courts and ovals and is very green.
The food is really good and there is plenty of it. The dining room staff do their best so we are looked after and well fed.
We were going to go the the Tennis on Saturday, but after a night waching Foxtel television we slept for most of saturday, and then went off to the 6.00pm mass. The parish made us very welcome and we took up the offertory gifts. Fr Neil said it was a privilege to be praying with us and this made us feel good.
Work is hard but you have to do it and we do. The teachers Sharon, Anne and the others give us their best. We look forward to Eusebia coming down to help the teachers prepare us for the work that is available back home. We do some of the work in the Special Education area and have other subjects with the other kids.
