Homeweekend

Had a ride in the CityKat today, down the Brisbane River.

At OLR mass last night, we ran into Tania Pilgrim who spent time at Milakapati seventeen years ago and was the one who painted the floor of the church.

Next time the kids come have a homeweekend, they will sing Tiwi hymns at mass.

The boys joined Ellie at AusKick on Friday where their kicking, ball skills and acrobatics impresed everyone.

Everyone now has a mobile phone, so you can ring them at Downlands. Phone nos are set out below.
The boys are starring at Downlands in basketball and the teams are winning well. It is a wonderful success having the Grade 8 kids. Of course there is homesickness, but Josetta and Sheree are a big help.

We went to Vinnies store yesterday, we wanted the kids to be warm and ready as Toowoomba weather gets colder. Vinnies have this massive store and the kids took about half of what was on offer. I will get unused stuff back to the Toowoomba Vinnies Store.

The effect was 'dolling up' for mass last night, but it is good to see kids having good fun.
Yesterday was an easy day. The kids played tennis and enjoyed the trampoline. We spent time at Indooroopilly Shopping town as well, a place like Casuarina. We went to 'All Phones' who were kind enough to give a phone to John Baptist. I will send all the phone numbers to Eusebia. It would be good if all the parents got a Gmail account.
It is good for the kids to use email, helps their writing skills and it would be good to send a note or a photo to mum.

Usually when the kids come back here, they want to sit around, relax, use the computer and watch Cable TV and just talk Tiwi.

No GBJT Tennis this time, it does not start until next week.

Hey the boys do fancy summersaults!!!

It is very hard to be away from home. Makes you tired.
