15 May - openning new doors.

Unfortunately Jarius had to go home because he had an infection. We hope he can return to school next semester.

Josetta went to Toowoomba TAFE today and she commence a certificate in Office Management course, one day a week next semester.

Dave the leader of the Unit at Downlands is excited and will provide every assistance. Dave is just back from Iraq where he served as a reservist with the Australian Army!

You can read about Toowoomba TAFE on http://www.sqit.tafe.qld.gov.au/.

The TAFE teachers were exited at the prospect of Josetta joining them. One of the teachers had two of her aunts teaching at Nguiu Sr Mary Veronica and Sr Eymard.

Is Josetta's two years the record for a Tiwi at a southern College. Maybe Sebastian Rioli was at Monivae for longer than two years. I am not sure!

Josetta would like to do a course in Recreational management and this unit is the first step in that direction.

Downland Teachers are excited that Therese might be coming down for a holiday and perhaps staying a few days at Downlands! Therese was with Josetta in the early days at Downlands.

The girls are to play football before the main Lions game at the Gabba in two weeks time. Wendy and Ellie will go with them to witness the Tiwi Magic
