Time to say 'farewell'
The one message Eusebia heard lound and clear from Downlands, is that the Therese and Josita are working hard and appreciated by all. She was told that the girls were a very positive influence on the Downlands community.
Josita and Terese were sad to see Eusebia go home, but her visit was good news for the whole School. Fr Mulroony welcomed Eusebia at the assembly, the kids clapped and wherever she went for the next two days kids were warm in welcome and very friendly.
Her next stop was to meet with members of the Kenmore St V de P society. The metting was at the home of Dennis Tarte and everyone listened carefully and asked Eusebia to explain why Noel wanted his kids to come to Downlands.
The St V de P Society team were anxious to hear from Therese how they were helping. They responded to Noel's request and they wanted to hear from Eusebia, as Noel's represenentative, how things were going and were pleased to be able to give a helping hand.
The day before Dennis Tarte met with John Campbell, the State President of St Vincent de Paul, who backed the project. John and Dennis both say if Tiwi are to come down to the colder Brisbane for school, they cover the cost of clothing - school uniform and other.
Eusebia told of the troubles and difficulties back home, and Kenmore Parish St V de P said they were honoured to support Tiwi parent who needed help their kids' Education.
